Filming salmon for BBC Natural World

Over the past year BBC Natural History Unit film crews have been hard at work in the Loch Maree area, filming wildlife for a forthcoming BBC 'Natural World' programme, 'Secrets of the Highlands', to be broadcast in 2009.

One of the challenges of the film has been to record images of wild salmon within the River Ewe catchment. In mid November, WRFT Biologist, Peter Cunningham joined the Wester Ross Marine Reserve Partnership ROV team (Aaron Forsyth and John Sangster) and the BBC film crew by a headwater stream, where a pair of salmon were filmed on their redd.
