WRFT Review January 2015

The latest WRFT Review can be found on the downloads page of this website or by clicking the link below. It is quite a big document (7MB) and covers the 18 month period from July 2013 to December 2014.

The Review presents a summary of much of the Trust’s work during that period, including the results of juvenile fish surveys in rivers from the Kanaird in the north to the Arnsidale in the south, rod catch analyses, sea trout and sea louse monitoring, fish farming related issues, surveys of rivers in the south of the Isle of Skye (e.g. Camasunary), new marine protected areas, a Little Gruinard macro-invertebrate study, mink monitoring and various other activities.

There is also a brief report from the Wester Ross Area Salmon Fisheries Board with links to information relating to salmon farm planning applications which the Board has responded to.

We hope you find the latest review of interest. Please get in touch if you have any comments or related news, or would like additional information about anything in the review. Contact the WRFT Biologist at info@wrft.org.uk .

We remain dependent upon a large network of helpers and volunteers who provide support for much of the work we do. Thank you to all who have supported the Trust over the past two years.
