WESTER ROSS SEAGRASS PROJECT. PROJECT OFFICER (PART-TIME)
Wester Ross Fisheries Trust are seeking to appoint a Project Officer for an exciting new seagrass restoration project. The ideal candidate will have enthusiasm for marine conservation, and experience in practical conservation work, project management and working with volunteers.
As part of a small friendly team, the role will include: surveying seagrass and potential restoration sites; collection, propagation and planting of seagrass; and keeping the project to time and budget. This project is supported by the Scottish Marine Environmental Enhancement Fund (SMEEF) and will run until 31st March 2028.
Location: Gairloch, with field sites in Loch Ewe and nearby
Salary: £31,200 pro-rata. Fixed term until 31 March 2028.
Hours: 16 hours per week (0.4 FTE), with flexible hours required to suit project goals.
Additional hours may be available for wider WRFT work depending on experience.
Closing date 16th March. Interviews last week in March.
